Job Specification

This is a hands-on housekeeping role working as a room attendant and completing all duties across the cleaning and tidying of guest rooms. The role also involves the delivery of guest requests to the room. A Housekeeping intern reports to the Supervisors and Assistant Managers and are assisted in their roles by the House porters.

Job Responsibilities

The Housekeeping internship at 5 star Hotel. The main role is working as a Housekeeping room attendant, completing all assigned duties for the role. Should the Intern prove to be excellent at this role, the final month of the internship would include shadowing the roles of Supervisor and Assistant Manager.

A Housekeeper needs to clean the work area to the standards of their employer. This requires attention to detail, physical strength and the stamina to work long shifts. Here are examples of a Housekeeper’s duties: 

1. Understand the company’s policy on work shifts, guest’s possessions and privacy issues 
2. Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting and rearranging the room after guests check out
3. Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service 
4. Report cases of property damage in commercial spaces to supervisor 
5. Work with a team of housekeepers on each shift 
6. Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift

Salary and Benefits

Offered Salary: AED 900 monthly - AED 1000 monthly
